Rooms

The Chalet at Mountainside has 9 rooms throughout the 2,300 square feet. There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with a large game room.

Each room has its own thermostat, the home is completely run on electricity from the oven to the heat.

I provide sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths and beach towels for all guests and each room.

There are 9 skylights throughout the home brining in all the natural light there is.

Our chalet is in the great Pocono Mountains. We live and share this environment with the wildlife as we try to maintain a humble co-existence. You may wake up and find an amazing new spider web has been created on the porch, or a shrew has made its home under the back deck, deer walk by daily with their loud friends - turkeys. Bears stroll by often along with field mice and groundhogs. The list goes on but we stay grateful we are able to live among this beauty.

The Great Room

Below is the entry level consisting of the great room with 20 foot ceilings, kitchen, dining area, living area with fireplace, sun porch, master bedroom, and bathroom with a soaker tub. With 2 skylights and a wall of windows the light is stunning all throughout the day.

The great room's living space has plenty of comfy seating and a wood burning fireplace for those cool mountain evenings. (DuraFlame logs are only allowed to burn in the fireplace, some are provided).

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, spices and utensils.

The stairs from the Great Room lead to the two upstairs bedrooms and full bath.

Master Bedroom

Located off the great room the master has a queen sized bed.

The master also has a single day bed.

Master En Suite

With shower and scenery.

Located just off the great room is the large walk out back deck with a gas grill, seating for outdoor dining and relaxing area to watch the wildlife or for cocktail hour. Should you want to stay protected from the elements on a raining day - chill out in the screened in porch just off the dining area as you walk in.

Lounge area to watch all the wildlife.

There is a gas grill, propane is provided.

Perfect for cocktail hour at dusk.

Enough seating for all to enjoy outdoor dining.

The screened in porch provides ample comfortable seating for those who want to relax "outdoors" when it's raining or after dinner.

Second Floor - Landing

Up the stairs to the second floor there is a landing with beautiful views, a reading area and dedicated work space.

Second Floor - Bed & Bath

Just off the second floor landing there are two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. This area sleeps 5, with a bunk bed. Each with a skylight - including the bathroom.

The first bedroom has a double bed with a dresser and full closet for your belongings.

The first bedroom also has a skylight right above and a full picture window for views of nature all around.

The second bedroom consists three beds. This is a twin sized bed with a picture window and skylight above.

In the second bedroom there are also twin sized bunk beds.

(Children under 6 years old are not allowed on the top bunk).

A full bath is located on the second floor.

Lower Level - Game Room

Downstairs from the Great Room you will find a game room with lots of activities; a pool table, air hockey, TV, seating area and board game area with over 26 games and puzzles. Off the large game room is a bedroom with a bathroom and laundry area.
